Job Description:

Join a team performing all routine laboratory anaysis of juice, must and wine, along with data entry into AMS, from harvest through bottling. Excellent growth and development opportunities exist at the winery for the right candidate.

•B.S. in Enology or related field preferred

•Wine laboratory experience preferred
•Computer skills to include Microsoft Office and e-mail abilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
•Perform routine analysis of grape samples, juice, must and wine to include: TA, Brix, pH, VA, enzymatic RS and MA, NH4+, F/TSO2, specific gravity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, alcohol and heat and cold stabilities
•Monitor primary and secondary fermentations through harvest
•Manage and train harvest laboratory interns and/or temporary laboratory employees
•Prepare fining and blending trials
•Order, prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and reagent inventories
•Maintain and calibrate instrumentation, standardize reagents
• Assist in managing AMS laboratory data base and produce BOLs for shipping
•Support winemaking to include participation in tastings, blends, trials and reporting
•Manage UPS shipping for Ray’s Station Winery

•Valid California driver’s licence with clean record
•Ability to lift 50 pounds
•Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays during harvest
