Dancing Dragonfly Winery is looking a full-time winemaker for immediate start. We are an upcoming winery located just an hour from Minneapolis/St. Paul, on the Minnesota/Wisconsin border.
We are looking for a hard working, enthusiastic person with at least 2 years’ responsible experience in grape crush, wine production, and bottling. Candidates should have great communication, organization and planning skills. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaborate closely with other members of our team.
The individual will get the opportunity to work with multiple northern grape varieties and winemaking techniques, state of the art equipment, and multiple winemaking methods.
Oversee and completion of all winemaking, including vineyard monitoring, crushing, fermentation, racking, blending, and bottling.
Schedule appropriate staff to be on hand for all winemaking duties.
Must have reasonable lab abilities for sample and data collection and fermentation monitoring.
Must be flexible within a changing work environment. Must be able to work extended hours during the harvest.
Must ensure appropriate production and sanitation procedures are followed.
Help design and participate in formal and informal tastings.
Must keep detailed winery logs, maintain daily, monthly, and annual production schedules, and inventory records.
Salary is based on experience.
