Job Description:

Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards are seeking energized Harvest interns to assist in the production of premier sparkling and red still wines. Established in 1965, Schramsberg has maintained a quality of excellence for nearly 60 years, while our Davies team has been crafting high-end Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon since 2001. Our interns benefit from engaging in the processes for both programs, and can expect their internship to run from late June/early July, through the end of November (pending the vintage). While housing and a car are not provided, our team enjoys weekend meals when working. We’re excited to welcome our 2024 team and look forward to reading your applications.

Work responsibilities include:
. Process vineyard samples.
. Aid in press loading and unloading (includes forklift training).
. Press operation and execute press cuts.
. Tank rackings and movements.
. Fermentation inoculations and additions.
. Cleaning, filling, and maintenance of barrels.
. Tank and barrel sampling.
. Pumpovers and punchdowns.
. Sorting line assistance.
. Other duties as assigned by Winemaking staff

Qualifications:
. Able to work long hours during Harvest.
. Able to lift 50 lbs.
. Able to walk, kneel and bend for long periods of time.
. Able to climb stairs and walk across uneven surfaces.
. May be exposed to hot, cold, and noisy environments.
. Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
