Job Summary: Responsible for AR, analysis and reporting, and assisting with other accounting functions to support SFC in optimizing financials, strengthening relationships with customers, and complying with regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
• Responsible for weekly, biweekly, and monthly invoicing
• Maintain accurate record of specialized invoice requirements by customer
• Make general journals to account for monthly labor income between data files
• Receive customer payments and deposit checks
• Build rapport with customers and follow up on outstanding accounts
• Prepare necessary monthly expense summary and detail reports for customers and managers
• Provide customer and account analysis upon request
• Maintain proper filing and organization of all AR files
• Enter new customers into QuickBooks and AgCode, regularly auditing to ensure info match for data flow and compliance
Accounts Payable
• Work with AP to review accounts at month end to ensure all expenses are in correctly before invoicing
• Support for coding, entering, and paying bills as needed
• Support for reconciling credit cards and bank accounts as needed
Payroll/Office
• Audit time for accuracy of customer, activity and labor coding each week prior to invoicing
• Support for manager allocations and H2A time entry as needed
• Assist with payroll processes as needed, including checking time in AgCode and entering time in QuickBooks
• Assist with general office tasks: Answering phones, filing, and other office tasks as needed
Job Requirements:
Knowledge/Experience:
• Experience working with accounting and Microsoft Office software, especially excel
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and practices
• Agricultural or wine industry background preferred and practical knowledge of vineyard management a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• 2-4 year college degree in related field required
Physical:
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License, have a clean driving record, be insurable by the company and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely
