Job Summary:
The key account manager is responsible for handling the most important accounts in each territory. These accounts consist of generating prestigious exposure to buyers in the on and off-premise sectors of the business. The key account manager is the lead point of contact for all client matters and needs to anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•  Develop a strong and trusting relationship between major key clients and the company by conducting on-site client strategy and planning visits
•  Expands Zonin1821 presence with new and existing customers and increases exposure to our higher-end portfolio
•  Addresses key account issues and opportunities. Provides appropriate solutions and alternatives. Follows up to ensure resolution and provides an update to management
•  Analyzes client data and develops a complete profile of the key account detailing the client’s current and future needs
•  Develop a strategy for key accounts to achieve established objectives, meeting all client needs and deliverables
•  Manages communications between key clients and the distributor network
•  Partners with the marketing department to provide clients with the highest quality of materials to promote Zonin1821
•  Collaborates with the distribution network to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling
•  Develop and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with management
•  Mentors the distributor sales team by being an encouraging, supportive, and trusted partner and advisor
•  Executes point of sale (POS) and marketing materials needed for accounts; orders sales tools to ensure a timely and effective market execution
•  Conducts wine tastings, fundraisers, trade shows, and other wine events for and with distributors
•  Develops cross-functional relationships throughout the organization with different departments

Required Skills & Abilities:
•  Ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
•  Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
•  Ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate them into a strategy
•  Ability to multitask and complete work while traveling.
•  Excellent problem-solving skills.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
•  Organized with attention to detail
•  Self-motivated, creative, curious, and imaginative
•  Able to succeed in changing environment
•  Ability to stay current with state regulations relating to wine distribution and sales
•  Must be effective at negotiating Win/Win situations
Education & Experience:
•  An Associate's degree in marketing, business administration, sales preferred or related equivalent work experience
•  2-3 years’ previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience
•  Knowledge of still; sparkling and fortified wines along with the major regions of the world
•  General acumen of the beverage business and how the distribution networks operate in an assigned area

Additional Requirements:
•  Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle.
•  Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
•  Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times.
