Assists the Quality Manager in assignment and control of the various internal quality functions. Directs and coordinates the efforts of assigned Quality Auditors in the absence of the Quality Manager. Works as QA Tech to perform Quality Training, Document control, Incoming Receiving, and Analysis functions. Completes shift duties of a Quality Auditor when a temporary replacement is required.
Essential Job Functions:
•Perform special audits, data gathering, testing, and other additional duties as needed.
•Performs Root Cause Analysis for DMRs and Customer complaints.
•Identify areas where training and training materials are needed.
•Prepare specified training outlines and conduct or coordinate certain quality and quality-system related training.
•Ensure Training agrees with SOPs.
•Review SOPs and revise SOPs as need.
•Fully trained as QA Auditor.
•Covers vacation, training, sick days for QAs.
•Perform incoming material inspections as needed.
•Shifts will rotate depending on need.
•Function within the team environment.
•Maintain a program for effective follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
•Participate in internal and external documented quality system and audits.
•Write and / or coordinate the writing of and assist in implementation of procedures, policies and instructions.
•Coordinate department activities and supervise the assigned Quality Auditors during the absence of the Quality Manager and at other times as directed by the Quality Manager.
Education and/or Experience:
•High School Education, Minimum of one year as Quality Auditor or QA experience.
•Minimum of one year supervisory experience
•Experience with training, video, and training material is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Able to understand basic capsule and print specifications
•Able to communicate with operators in constructive manner
•Strong verbal and written communications skills.
•Able to read, understand, and write Standard Operating Procedures and Corrective actions.
•Able to use camera and computer experience preferred.
•Able to lead meetings and gain consensus when needed.
•Able to work quickly and accurately
•Able to be on feet for 8 hour shift.
•Flexible shift; able to work overtime when needed.
Position interfaces with the following departments and personnel: Cap Shop Manager/Supervisors, Print Shop Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Finance, V.P. of Operations and Shipping/WH Supervisor.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear.
