Spring Mountain Vineyard is a historic, small production, artisanal winery in St. Helena, CA with internationally-acclaimed wines. Our focus is producing the highest quality Bordeaux and Burgundy style wines possible from our estate vineyards. We are looking an enthusiastic, hard working individual to join our team for the upcoming 2014 crush.
A good attitude and the ability to work well with others are essential. This individual must have excellent attention to detail and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. The candidate would get the opportunity to work with multiple varietials and winemaking techniques.
Prior harvest experience required and study related to the fermentation process is strongly preferred. This position will be both lab and cellar based, but strong laboratory skills are a plus. This position will start in August.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Basic lab work (TA, pH, SO2, Sugar and ML monitoring)
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment
Monitoring press cycles
Inoculations and additions
Pumpovers & punchdowns
Candidates must also possess reliable transportation, be willing to work long and variable hours including weekends and be able to perform physical tasks (lift and carry at least 50 lbs.).
Compensation is dependent on experience.
