Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator

Global wine importer, wholesaler and management company headquartered in Napa Valley has an immediate opening for a Wine Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator with an insatiable curiosity about the wonderful world of supply chain management and wine sourcing. Successful candidates will have demonstrated negotiation and business skills related to buying in volume across the spectrum of price points as well as coordinating domestic and international shipping.

This person supports the Logistics and Distribution Director as well as the wine sourcing team. The position is best suited for someone who is enthusiastic about international business activities, understands the nuances of doing business in many different cultures, has exceptional attention to details, is allergic to micromanagement and has the ability to manage a high volume of conflicting priorities under tight deadlines. Successful candidates would work well in a high-paced, collaborative environment.

The position involves coordinating high volume purchases from both Old World and New World wineries as well as logistics, planning and distribution responsibilities.

This is a full-time position based in our Napa office and provides health, dental & vision benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently able to work legally in the US
• Prior logistics and distribution experience preferably in the wine industry
• Proficient in MS Excel, Access, Word and Outlook
• Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent experience
• Detail oriented and business minded
• Good communication and grammar skills
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Be nice
