SakéOne is the leading premium American Craft Sake producer and is based out of Forest Grove Oregon. Additionally, SakéOne imports some of the finest Japanese made saké and distributes them throughout the American market.
The CA Sales Manager is held accountable for CA sales and depletions, distributor management, and customer interaction in all channels of trade; On/Off Premise, Chain, Independent, Regional, National, and other licensed accounts. Success in this position could quickly develop into a regional role.
This position will report to the National Sales Manager
This position is designed to achieve maximum sales potential for our brands throughout California by meeting or exceeding assigned sales goals within given budgets. The successful sales manager will identify and respond to opportunities that build and enhance brand equity in the market in the long term, as well as maximize sales in the short term. This position must uphold the integrity of the company by following its guidelines and meeting its expectations, goals, and mission.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximize sales potential, as measured by sales within your region.
Maintain a long-term growth strategy with key wholesale contacts on a monthly basis to include the following;
Work Distributor management to disseminate annual sales plan and assign goals out by month and by team for each market.
Increase market demand and acceptance through targeting and opening of new accounts, increasing sales to existing accounts and targeting high volume opportunities.
Controlling relationships in the top key accounts.
Working in the market place with the sales distributor.
Become an active member of the saké community through frequent and positive interaction with the rest of the industry; key wholesaler personnel, and key accounts.
Recommend and implement decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the equity of the brand.
Recommend and substantiate budgeting needs, sales tactics and strategies, appropriate size of account base, pricing, on/off mix, etc.
Manage annual budget.
Provide detailed monthly market analysis of SakéOne sales in your territory to corporate office.
Positioning yourself as a partner to the distributor management and sales team.
Conducting distributor training meetings in which staff is motivated to meet and exceed goals as well as teaching skill building and confidence in their presentations.
Developing professional sales presentations that are dynamic and results-oriented.
Maintaining correspondence with buyers.
BA in Business or related field, or appropriate experience.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the sake, wine, spirits or craft beer industry.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent math skills.
Solid computer skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. A working knowledge of Diver is preferred.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, defined as time out of office visiting accounts and hosting events.
Ability to pick up and carry 40lbs.
Sake certification a plus.
Japanese or Korean speaker a plus.
