Job Description:

Miner Family Winery is looking for enthusiastic, hard working wine professionals to work in our fun, fast paced environment.

Our Wine Educators provide genuine hospitality and a vast knowledge of our wines in the Tasting Room for guests to sample, purchase wines, and enroll in wine clubs.

Reports to: Tasting Room Manager, Retail Sales Director

Interacts with: Guests, Co-workers, Winery Production Staff, Sales Staff, Trade Visitors

General Accountabilities:
-Provide and ensure friendly, courteous and professional guest service
-Accurately and consistently describe and promote Miner Family wines in order to exceed monthly Sales and Wine Club objectives
-Provide and ensure responsible beverage service
-Assist in resolution of guest concerns or problems
-Ensure accuracy of wine orders and follow/direct compliant shipping procedures
-Keep work area and sales area clean, organized and safe
-Maintain Miner Family standards of sales and service in retail department
-Maintain orderly and attractive merchandise displays
-Organize and maintain back stock of merchandise
-Assist in accurate inventory counts

-Can remember/recall information, instructions, safety precautions, procedures and protocols.
-Able to sit on an occasional basis.

-Able to lift items weighing up to 45 lbs on an occasional basis.
-Able to sustain a fast workplace, and tolerate frequent interruptions and changes in routine.
-Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other staff members, customers, vendors, management and/or the general public.
-Must be available to work weekends and some holidays

Knowledge, Experience, Skills:

-Knowledge of wine and wine service
-Basic computer skills
-Great communication skills
-Must follow responsible beverage service and review video training
-Enthusiasm for wine and people


Hourly wage based on experience and skills
Commissions on wine club enrollments as follows:
1. Bonus commission per wine club enrollment paid on a monthly basis
2. Team sales goal commission given after trial period, (60 days of employment) if Tasting room sales goals are obtained
