Job Summary
The Beverage Manager has the ultimate responsibility of assisting the Beverage Director in providing a well run Beverage Department.

This includes assisting the Beverage Director in seven critical areas: 1) beverage innovation and creativity, 2) quality of beverage products and services, 3) development and implementation of viable sales tools, 4) effectively interfacing with Training and Development as a Subject Matter Expert, 5) injury and illness prevention and ABC compliance for beverage operations, 6) beverage department profitability and expense management and 7) implementation of special projects.

? Event planning for beverage department by producing consumption estimates, placing of beverage orders and creation of beverage pack-out sheets
? Assists the Beverage Director in cocktail, wine, and overall beverage research and development
? Schedules, coordinates and supervises beverage work for the steward Team on a weekly basis including pack-outs and check-ins of beverage and bar equipment. Serves as the single-point-of-contact for Steward Team with regard to beverage work
? Creates clear and concise tasting notes and drink instructions
? Assists the Beverage Director in the planning and service of tastings
? Assists the Beverage Director by continually updating all beverage offerings
? Develops excellent relations with event staff
? Pulls 4 Lead Bartending shifts annually
? Assists the Beverage Director with beverage standards development and delivery
? Attends weekly production and warehouse planning sessions
? Places all check requests for the Beverage Department
? Fulfills ABC permit requirements for events
? Provides data base maintenance for Beverage Department
? Champions monthly beverage inventory process
? Reconciles all received beverage goods with purchase order

Essential Skills and Experience
? Must be at least 21 years of age
? Possess reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
? Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with management, staff, vendors and clients
? Comfortable in a multi-task environment with frequent interruptions and short deadlines, and at times a high degree of pressure
? Be highly organized and detail oriented
? At least three years of hospitality industry experience
? Possess excellent basic math skills
? Advanced Typing, Word and Outlook skills
? Possess reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
? Be able to coordinate a number of activities with multiple components requiring independent follow through and attention to detail

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk/stand up to the entire day while working events and sit in meetings or in front of a computer screen up to the entire day when working onsite. The employee must occasionally reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs., reach overhead and have the stamina to work up to 50 hours a week.
? Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to ambient temperatures and weather conditions at the time of an event.
