Harvest Cellar Interns

Job Description:

Internship Opportunity at MacRostie Winery:
Cellar/Production Harvest Interns

We have an exciting opportunity for Cellar/Production Harvest Interns to join the MacRostie team, who will learn and execute exceptional skills to assist with the 2024 harvest. This internship will focus on assisting the team in production of our premium Pinot Noir from our estate vineyards and our other renowned growers at our facility. This role is based in Healdsburg, California and is offering a cellar 1 and cellar 2 temporary positions.

Rather than beginning with an end state in mind, Head Winemaker Heidi Bridenhagen and Steve MacRostie let each vineyard’s grapes dictate what they want to become. With deep Sonoma roots stretching back three decades, MacRostie has trusted partnerships with the region’s finest growers, including more than 30 Chardonnay vineyards and over 15 Pinot Noir sites. Combined with MacRostie’s own vineyards, this provides unique access to a remarkable level of diversity, and allows them to explore the entirety of the Sonoma Coast in the winemaking process. Heidi and Steve do 130+ small fermentations each vintage, yielding a broad palette of flavors to work with when it comes time for blending. This produces wines of uncommon character and complexity, representative of the best of the Sonoma Coast. Ever evolving, while remaining true to our roots, MacRostie’s internships offer an unparalleled work environment with opportunities for professional and personal growth that include:
•  Our Culture - We live by our leadership principles of doing the right thing, for the long term, being first with consumers to win customers, thinking beyond, innovate, and adapt, deciding fast and making it happen, and welcoming differences and standing for fairness.
•  Our Community - We believe in giving back and being accountable when it comes to social responsibility. That is why we have committed to our employees and their families and partner with community organizations to continue to uphold these values.
Working as a harvest team member of the production and cellar team, this role will work alongside the MacRostie Cellar Master to assist in all stages of Pinot Noir production from grape to bottle.
