Agri-Analysis Testing Lab Remains Open

Posted on March 24, 2020

In consultation with Yolo County Ag Commissioner's office, Agri-Analysis testing lab will remain open at this time to support the agriculture production activities that you all are doing which are vital to the well being of our people and our nation.  We are able to continue accepting new samples for all available tests.

The health and welfare of our team is of utmost importance. As such, we follow CDC and Yolo County Health Department Guidelines to take all necessary precautions to limit non-essential visits to the laboratory, to have staff work from home where possible, and to adjust staff level and work flow to increase social distancing in the laboratory work areas. These are infection prevention measures above and beyond that are already in place to prevent sample cross contaminations.  We do not anticipate delays in reporting testing reports to you. In the event of temporary delay or inconvenience, we will keep you closely posted. We continue to closely monitor guidelines from Yolo County Health Department, CDC, CDFA, USDA as they become available and will inform you with any update.

Meanwhile, we courage growers to consider to prioritize your testing need to the most economically important viruses for fast turnaround such as grapevine red blotch virus (GRBaV) and grapevine leafroll associated virus type 3 (GLRaV-3).  GLRaV-3 is a highly variant virus and there are ten (10) different types of genetic variants of GLRaV-3 are currently known. Agri-Analysis's high throughput testing method can reliably detect all ten (10) variants in one test.  For GRBaV, the proprietary sample preparation and testing process we use at Agri-Analysis can help eliminate and minimize false negative results especially during dormant season.

Finally, our entire team at Agri-Analysis wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation to our client growers and all growers for your dedication and hard work in the frontline to produce heathy, abundant, affordable and wholesome food for our nation. We salute you and we are immensely grateful for what you do. We are here to do our part to support you in any way we can.

Please contact us if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
