Wineshipping & Commerce7 Partner on Delivery Date Request Tool

Posted on November 04, 2020

Wineshipping and Commerce7 have announced a new partnership in the form of an API which empowers end-customers to choose their own delivery date. This long-requested feature reduces failed delivery attempts and returns, saving wineries considerable cost and provides customers with a better shopping experience. Users can see estimated package delivery dates for various service levels, empowering them to make more informed choices.

“The majority of returns are the result of failed delivery attempts, costing wineries and their clients huge amounts of money. Estimated delivery date is a feature the industry has been wanting for a long time,” says Wineshipping CEO Eric Lewis. “This partnership broadens our API ecosystems even further and is just one of many new tools we’re excited to roll out.”

This deep integration allows order, tracking, and delivery data to flow between the Commerce7 and Wineshipping systems in real time. Inventory, product data, and tracking numbers are synced, ensuring the most accurate information is always available.

"More important than speed, customers want to know when a package is going to arrive," says Andrew Kamphuis, president of Commerce7.  "Being able to see the delivery date before an order is placed is something we've been wanting for a long time and is important to our customer-centric mission.  Wineshipping's modern APIs and forward-thinking approach have enabled us to deliver this experience to end customers."

“Every interaction with our customers, including their digital experience on our website, is designed with the same outcome in mind – a seamless, intuitive and satisfying experience,” says Meghan Delzell of Sangiacomo Wines. “Meeting (and exceeding) the consumer’s expectation is one of our top goals in service and in hospitality at Sangiacomo, and partnering with vendors that understand our goals and are working to transform the customer experience online allows us to be on the cutting-edge of the industry.”

“We've been using all types of workarounds to overcome limitations in providing our customers the ability to choose a date on which they would like their wine packages shipped,” says David Messerli of Limerick Lane Cellars. “We are fortunate that Wineshipping and Commerce7 took the idea and advanced the solution to the next level. Now our customers no longer must guess at transit times, and they can simply place their order and select a date on which they'd prefer it to arrive. This elevates our customer service and reduces time spent by our team resolving delivery issues.”

The integration is available to all Wineshipping and Commerce7 mutual clients effective immediately.  To learn more, reach out to info@wineshipping.com or info@commerce7.com.
