Winesecrets collaborating with U.C. Davis in research on smoke taint removal in wine production
Winesecrets is excited to announce our collaboration with U.C. Davis in their research on smoke taint removal in wine production.
The Winesecrets’ Team used our Test Track to create bench trials of smoke taint removal from UC Davis wine. Dr. Anita Oberholster’s Team will perform extensive chemical and comparative sensory assessment of wines treated with a spectrum of available methods for smoke removal. Smoke Taint removal remains a challenging topic for the wine industry. “I greatly appreciate the support from company’s such as Winesecrets that allows me free access to their technology, so that I can study it’s potential in helping the wine industry with issues such as smoke impacted wines.” says Dr. Anita Oberholster PhD, U.C. Davis.
