Enartis USA Announces the Perlage Range of Sparkling Winemaking Products

Windsor, CA – 1/16/2017 – Enartis USA is pleased to announce the introduction of the Perlage range in our product portfolio – a dedicated range of premium quality winemaking products for sparkling wine production.

Inspired by the experience of Enartis in the different renowned Sparkling Wine Regions throughout the world, and understanding the challenges of producing quality sparkling wine, the Perlage range offers winemakers the tools needed for every step of the process, from grape to bottle, to ensure optimal quality of sparkling wine, adapted to the production process (Charmat, Classic, Transfer) and wine style (complex/mature, fresh/fruit driven, etc).

In addition to the comprehensive product portfolio, Vinquiry Laboratories by Enartis USA offers a set of analytical services designed specifically to help with critical aspects of sparkling wine production:

CORE CHEMISTRY PANEL FOR SPARKLING BASE WINE
Critical analytical information needed prior to second fermentation. This panel provides essential chemistry on base wines and predicts potential wine instabilities that may occur as a result of future chemical changes arising from second fermentation.
Includes: Alcohol, Glucose + Fructose, Free SO2, Total SO2, pH, Titratable Acidity, Heat Stability Test, Cold stability by Conductivity, Malic Acid, Calcium, Potassium.

RIDDLING AGENT SWELLING TEST
Determines the dosage of riddling agent needed to ensure good clarity and limited amount of lees. Please specify the riddling agent used.
Includes: Riddling Agent Dosage Trial, Turbidity and Lees Volume Measurement.

FOAMING CAPACITY
Foam quality is the first parameter observed in a sparkling wines. Many steps from harvest to bottling can impact foam properties. Foaming capacity can be measured by the Mosalux test. This test, commonly used in Champagne, measures foam height and foam persistence to understand the foaming capacity of wine.

With the introduction of the Perlage range, Enartis USA will discontinue the distribution of the SOEC (Station Oenotechnique de Champagne) range. This range will remain available in the USA through Oenofrance USA (contact: Fabien Machard de Gramont, (707) 321-6363).
