Van Duzer Vineyards Appoints Brianne Bridges as Marketing & Hospitality Director

Van Duzer Vineyards announced that they have hired Brianne M. Bridges as Marketing & Hospitality Director. Bridges, an experienced strategic marketing professional with a background in retail and healthcare marketing, will guide the marketing, hospitality and wine club program at the 82 acre estate vineyards.

Bridges, who answers to the name Bri (pronounced bree), previously worked as marketing manager for Silverton Hospital Network in Silverton, Oregon. Bridges developed a reputation for strategic and creative marketing initiatives that pushed the lines of traditional healthcare marketing.

After graduating from Columbia and Lane Community College, Eugene, Oregon, with degrees in marketing and multi-media/graphic design, Bridges began her career as director of marketing and design for an international travel company in Portland, Oregon. An interest in retail marketing led her to Bend, Oregon, as director of marketing for The Shops at the Old Mill District and back to Eugene as general manager and marketing director for Fifth Street Market.

In announcing the choice of director of marketing and hospitality, Van Duzer Vineyards proprietor Carl Thoma noted, "Bri rounds out the Van Duzer management team now in place at the winery, allowing us to extend the highest level of accessibility to our customers and sales partners at the winery and around the country." Within the last year, Thoma said, Van Duzer Vineyards has brought on board the winemaker Jerry D. Murray, previously at Patton Valley Vineyards, and cellar master Florient “Flo” Merlier, previously at Rex Hill, to fine tune its winemaking program.

For her part, Bridges said that she has long pursued a study of the artistry and science of winemaking. “This is an exciting time for Van Duzer as Jerry Murray prepares to unveil his anxiously awaited 2010 Rosé and other wines grown and produced entirely under his watch,” said Bridges. “As I begin this journey, I see an opportunity to provide a fresh perspective on Van Duzer and the great wines produced in the cool climate of the Van Duzer Corridor.”
