David Pearson to Resign as Managing Director of Meadowood Estate

Posted on June 11, 2021

St. Helena, CA (TKTK, 2021)  Today, David Pearson announced his intention to resign his position as Managing Director of Meadowood Estate, effective date later this year. After much deliberation, Mr. Pearson has decided to reconnect with his winemaking roots in France and start his own project there. While the Harlan family and the entire Meadowood team regret his departure, they nevertheless rejoice in his determination to pursue his long-held dream.

During his tenure at Meadowood, Mr. Pearson has been instrumental in meeting the many challenges that arose with the pandemic and during and after the Glass Fire. Thanks to his leadership, Meadowood is positioned to move forward with plans for reconstruction and reopening. The renewal of Meadowood is well underway, and the Club welcomed back members beginning in the second half of May. The hotel will again receive guests on the southern portion of the property in the coming months. The Harlan family and the Meadowood team members thank Mr. Pearson for his enormous contributions to these undertakings, and they wish him success in his forthcoming venture.

Mr. Pearson has expressed to H. William Harlan his deep appreciation for the opportunity to work with him. He is thankful, too, for the support and inspiration of the people at Meadowood.

Mr. Pearson will continue in his role until a smooth and successful transition has been assured.
