Napa, California, June 3, 2021 – Rutherford Wine Company announced the appointments of three new sales team members, effective immediately. Joe Shyka has been named Director of Sales, National Accounts, while Janet Hammer and TJ Noxon will lead efforts as the Intermountain Regional Sales Manager and West Regional Sales Manager, respectively.

“I’m very excited to have these three industry veterans join our team,” said Rebecca Geschwender, VP of Sales, National Brands. “As we transition out of the pandemic and economies begin to re-open, having a strong salesforce is crucial for success; team members that share our vision and the values that have built this family-owned wine business makes us even stronger. We’ve made the right decision hiring Janet, Joe and TJ to fill these key roles.”

Shyka began his career selling wine at RNDC in TX.  He then spent 10 years at Diageo where he was a distributor manager, senior national account manager and trade marketing manager. Since then, he has held several executive roles and consulting for start-up innovative companies. “I’m very excited to join such a well-established family-owned winery with an amazing brand portfolio. The current team at RWC is a well-rounded group of motivated and experienced professionals. I’m lucky to join their team and excited about the future,” says Shyka.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Rutherford Wine Company team,” remarked Hammer. “I’ve sold these wines earlier in my career and am excited to sell them again and to expand their footprint in the intermountain states,” she continued. Hammer joins Rutherford Wine Company from Miller Family Wine Company where she managed the mountain states driving key business. Hammer brings over 20 years of wine business experience to RWC team.

Noxon is also no stranger to the industry having over a decade of experience with elevated positions at Southern Glazers. Most recently he served as the vice president of sales, Western division with Trinity Beverage Group. “I am thrilled that my next adventure in the wine industry will be representing Rutherford Wine Company in the West. I firmly believe in the quality, provenance, and continued innovation that this portfolio brings to the marketplace,” Noxon remarked.
