Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Announces an Executive Change

Posted on May 26, 2020

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Diamond Estates Wines & Spirits Ltd. (“Diamond” or the “Company”) (TSXV:DWS) is pleased to announce that Geoff Kritzinger, CPA CA, will be joining the Company as Interim CFO in the wake of the disappointing news that Sean Byrne, who was appointed in this capacity last week, has regrettably had to relinquish this role due to unforeseen personal reasons.

“We are disappointed that Sean will not be joining the team, as I know how much he was looking forward to the opportunity,” said Murray Souter, Diamond's Chief Executive Officer. “Fortunately, Geoff Kritzinger is able to assume the CFO responsibilities immediately, which will still allow for the transitioning of responsibilities from Paul Dowdall, who will be leaving the Company effective June 5th.”

Mr. Kritzinger has a long history with Diamond dating back seven years when the Company first went public. He served as Diamond’s first CFO until July 2014 and has been involved with the Company on a consultative basis for the past five years. Geoff has also served as the CFO for numerous TSX companies including Currie Rose Resources Inc. Geoff is a graduate of the University of Toronto and was a partner in Shimmerman Penn LLP in Toronto.
