John DeAguiar, Winery Software Veteran, Assumes Leadership Role for Crafted ERP's Growing Winery Edition Business Management Solution

Posted on February 06, 2020

Crafted ERP, a state-of-the-art enterprise resource planning solution that meets the complex and sophisticated needs of craft beverage manufacturers, announced today that John DeAguiar, a veteran of the winery management software business, has joined Crafted ERP as Practice Lead, Winery Edition. Prior to joining Crafted ERP, DeAguiar served as Director of Winemaking and Back Office Products for Vintegrate Software and held senior software engineering and product management roles for various software firms, including Autodesk. As Practice Lead, Winery Edition, DeAguiar brings software expertise and wine industry know-how to lead ongoing curated development, implementation and product support initiatives for the Crafted Winery Edition solution.

Crafted Winery Edition, a burgeoning 2018 addition to the Crafted ERP Suite, had a break-out year in 2019, celebrating its General Availability by signing several new winery clients in the U.S. and abroad. To capitalize on this momentum and demonstrate a focused commitment to its winery solution, Crafted Winery Edition now has a dedicated wine industry champion in DeAguiar to lead the day to day growth and product direction efforts.

Crafted’s curated Winery Edition was inspired by co-founder Kristin Steele’s first-hand knowledge of the challenges presented when operating a vineyard.

“As both the owner and operator of a boutique wine business, and a co-founder of Crafted ERP, I am really excited to see our Crafted Winery Edition take flight. Bringing John on board to guide the growth of the Winery Edition is a great next step in ensuring it continues to meet and exceed our clients’ needs,” said Kristin Steele, co-founder, Crafted ERP.

“Wineries love the power, ease-of-use, and flexibility in Crafted ERP’s Winery Edition,” said DeAguiar. “This wasn’t a surprise to me, having seen the impact that the curated Brewery and Distillery Editions have had in serving the beer and spirits industries. I’m glad I now get to bring this sophisticated and modern solution to winemakers, after years of watching them face daunting efficiency and cost pressures. It’s amazing to see how quickly they embrace Crafted ERP and see results.”

Crafted ERP is built on the industry-leading NetSuite cloud-computing platform, heralded for its ease-of-implementation, reliability and real-time visibility across business processes. In addition, Crafted ERP extends NetSuite’s flexible modules to provide convenient mobile access and managed software systems with little to no IT equipment, and seamless updates and enhancements. Crafted ERP’s solutions for wineries, distilleries and breweries also offer unparalleled support and training options in multiple modalities.
