Kanzler Vineyards Hires Marketing Manager
Sebastopol, Calif.—Kanzler Vineyards announced the hiring of Elizabeth Grattan Di Bartolo as Marketing Manager. “We continue to be very committed to competing in the luxury wine space, and adding a communications role allows us to tell the story of our wines with better reach, precision, and style,” said Danny Fay, General Manager for Kanzler. “This also frees up the rest of our team to meet the demands of controlled growth. And we’re still lean and mean with just four full-time employees.”
Grattan Di Bartolo is responsible for allocation list communications, events, social media, graphic design, website management, press, and promoting the estate guest house. “Elizabeth’s reverence for small-lot winemaking and estate farming aligns perfectly with Kanzler’s values,” Fay said.
Grattan Di Bartolo was previously marketing coordinator for VML and Truett Hurst wineries, and brings more than a dozen years of experience in branding, content creation, collateral design, publishing, and retail communications.
“I was already aware of Kanzler as a serious, insider’s brand,” Grattan Di Bartolo said. “It has a ‘How do you get ahold of that wine?’ kind of feel, which I love. What really struck me coming on board is that Kanzler is in a rare position to answer ‘Yes’ to a big question on the customer’s mind: ‘Are there still independently owned wineries where the winemaker has his hands on every barrel, walks the vineyard with you, and makes small batches of exceptional wine?’ It’s exciting to be able to answer, ‘Yes, that still exists,’” she said.
“Alex Kanzler is brilliantly talented,” she added. “His parents planted a now-renowned Pinot Noir vineyard in the Sebastopol Hills when this area was still best known for apple orchards and dairy farms. His wife Breauna interacts with every client for a genuine sales and hospitality experience. The Kanzler family puts quality over quantity every time, and I’m thrilled to be tasked with telling the story.” She noted, “I’m also interested in this fruitful dichotomy between a legacy vineyard and a self-motivated young millennial winemaker.”
