Sokol Blosser Welcomes Chris Langan as Vice President of Sales
Dayton, Ore.—Sokol Blosser, one of Oregon’s original and most iconic wineries, is pleased to welcome Chris Langan as Vice President of Sales.
Langan joins Sokol Blosser from K Vintners/Wines of Substance in Washington, where he helped grow Charles Smith brands with successful regional and national chain sales programs for the past four years. Previously, Langan worked for Terlato Wines in multiple regional and national chain sales roles.
“We are thrilled to have Chris join our executive team and lead our wholesale sales efforts,” said Alison Sokol Blosser, co-president and CEO of Sokol Blosser Winery. “His passion for wine coupled with his deep experience, impressive sales accomplishments and exceptional relationships in the industry is exactly what we need to grow our distribution throughout the U.S.”
Langan will be based in his hometown of Austin, TX, overseeing national distribution and sales. He will travel frequently to the Willamette Valley to work hand-in-hand with the Sokol Blossers and their executive team. In his new role, Langan will develop and execute strategic plans to expand distribution and sales of Sokol Blosser’s signature pinot noirs, pinot gris, and chardonnay as well as the winery’s Evolution wines and the newest addition to the Sokol Blosser portfolio, Bluebird Cuvée Sparkling wine.
“I am humbled and excited about the opportunity to work with one of the founding families of the Oregon wine industry,” said Langan. “Their roots are deep, their values are strong and their wines are beguiling, wonderful and delicious. I look forward to sharing these wines with more people across the country.”
About Sokol Blosser Winery
In 1971, the Sokol Blosser family planted grapes on just five acres in the Dundee Hills. As one of the pioneering wineries of the region, Sokol Blosser has played a key role in developing and shaping the now-prominent Oregon wine industry. The winery remains family owned and operated to this day, with the second generation now at the helm: siblings Alex and Alison Sokol Blosser. Achieving B Corp certification in 2015, the winery farms 128 acres of estate vineyards and creates wines of world-class quality, produced in a sustainable manner, which reflect the distinctive flavors of the grapes, soil and climate. The winery produces pinot noir, pinot gris, chardonnay, sparkling wines, riesling and small quantities of single block pinot noir under its Sokol Blosser brand name, as well as a white blend, red blend, pinot noir, sparkling wine, riesling, and chardonnay under the Evolution label.
