Allied Propane Service/Chevron ProGas, Leading Clean Energy Provider, Adds Dave Whitmer to Its Family of Companies
Napa, Calif.—Dave Whitmer joins Allied Propane Service in the newly created role of Corporate Development and Public Affairs Executive. Dave will work out of Allied’s Napa office. Whitmer, a lifetime Napan, retired Napa County Agricultural Commissioner/Sealer of Weights and Measures and current Napa County Planning Commissioner will be responsible for leading Corporate Development and Public Affairs for Allied Propane Service and Allied Clean Fuels Plaza.

Since his retirement from the County of Napa in 2013, in addition to representing Napa County Board of Supervisor Chairman Ryan Gregory and the Second Supervisorial District on the Napa County Planning Commission, Dave serves on the Napa Valley Community Housing Board, the Napa Valley Community Foundation Board, the Napa Valley Grapegrowers Board and is currently Chair of the Sustainable Napa County Board of Directors. Dave and Loie, his wife of 40 years, live in Napa.

Allied Propane Service/Chevron ProGas has provided services to the residential, domestic, agricultural, commercial, and the industrial markets in the Northern California’s counties for over 50 years through operating division offices located in Napa, Richmond and Dixon. Additionally, Allied is a California Bonded Licensed Mechanical Contractor, providing construction and engineering in the natural gas liquids industries. Northern California Counties served include: Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Marin counties from the Richmond Division; Napa, Sonoma, Solano and parts of Lake and Mendocino counties from the Napa Division; and, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, San Joaquin, Yolo and Sutter counties from the Dixon Division.

Commercial and agricultural services include forklift cylinder exchange services, stand-by propane systems, frost protection, sustainable weed control, crop drying for farms, orchards and ranches, stand-by power generators, LP Gas storage containers, design and installation.

Since its inception in November 2016, the Allied Clean Fuels Plaza (AFCP) has become a critical component in the cities of and County of Napa, plus the surrounding counties and communities by delivering alternative fuels and clean energy solutions. Located in the heart of the Gateway of Napa Valley, ACFP provides a unique customer experience with a nationally recognized Circle K store, Chevron branded station, lubricants and refined fuels, gas and diesel, propane autogas, E-85 ethanol, compressed natural gas (CNG), renewable hydrocarbon diesel, diesel emission fluid (DEF), agricultural grade red diesel, electric car charging stalls and a 12-space Tesla Supercharger station. Our commercial terminal is now serving all national accepted commercial card-lock cards for our many local, regional and national trucking and commercial carrier companies.
