DAOU Amplifies Marketing Vision with New Executive Isaac Herrera
DAOU Vineyards & Winery today announced the addition of two veteran wine industry executives to the winery's marketing team—Alexis Walsh as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Isaac Herrera as Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy.
DAOU was founded in 2007 by brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou. Their driving vision is to produce California "first growth" wine from DAOU Mountain, fulfilling the Adelaida District's promise as the world's next benchmark for Bordeaux varieties.
"We have created a portfolio of luxury Cabernet Sauvignon that spoils wine aficionados with diverse flavors at multiple price points," said proprietor Georges Daou. "Our new marketing leadership is poised to amplify this innovation and share the message of DAOU around the world."
Isaac Herrera - Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy
DAOU also announced that Isaac Herrera has joined the team as Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy.
"DAOU digital is Isaac's world," Georges Daou said. "With his proven expertise, he will enable our e-commerce to transact efficiently and smoothly with all of our partners and customers. A company must be digital in order to flourish in this world, and Isaac will ensure that DAOU remains on the cutting edge."
Herrera is recognized for his skills in DTC sales strategies, go-to-market tactics, digital marketing, strategic partnerships and brand building. Prior to joining DAOU, Herrera served as the VP of digital marketing and e-commerce at King Estate Winery in Eugene, Oregon. There, among other accomplishments, he launched the King Vintners division and NEXT, a partnership with Amazon / Whole Foods. His digital marketing experience also spans positions at Wine Equities, Inc., Treasury Wine Estates and 3 Badge Beverage Corp. He holds a degree in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
"I am in complete alignment with Georges and Daniel on where wine is headed in the digital sphere," Herrera said. "They see the future and they know how to get there. Best of all, they are doing it with a sense of humanity and authenticity that is very motivating. My aim is to harness that energy and take DAOU's digital success to the next level."
Brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou set forth across California to find an unrivaled terroir for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, a quest that led them to a place of foretold greatness: DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Here, their vision is to make California "first growth" wine, fulfilling the district's promise as the world's next benchmark for Bordeaux varieties. DAOU is ultimately built upon unbreakable family bonds from brother to brother, generation to generation, Old World to New World. These bonds now extend to those who lend their hands to this land, and who partake in what it produces. More at DAOUvineyards.com.
