DAOU Amplifies Marketing Vision with New Executive Alexis Walsh
DAOU Vineyards & Winery today announced the addition of two veteran wine industry executives to the winery's marketing team—Alexis Walsh as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Isaac Herrera as Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy.
DAOU was founded in 2007 by brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou. Their driving vision is to produce California "first growth" wine from DAOU Mountain, fulfilling the Adelaida District's promise as the world's next benchmark for Bordeaux varieties.
"We have created a portfolio of luxury Cabernet Sauvignon that spoils wine aficionados with diverse flavors at multiple price points," said proprietor Georges Daou. "Our new marketing leadership is poised to amplify this innovation and share the message of DAOU around the world."

Acclaimed wine industry executive Alexis Walsh is taking the helm of DAOU's multifaceted marketing team.
"Alexis possesses all of the expertise and attributes that we were looking for, making her truly one of a kind," said Georges Daou. "Her zest for being best of class matches DAOU's desire to continually innovate while spoiling our wine collectors, global partners and guests with more than what they came for. Added proprietor and winemaker Daniel Daou, "Alexis is the perfect addition to our talented team. I cannot wait to see how she will help propel our winery to the next level."
Walsh comes to DAOU from Treasury Wine Estates, where she most recently served as Vice President of commercial strategy and on-premise. She is known for being uniquely skilled at bridging sales, marketing and strategy to achieve powerful business objectives. At Treasury Wine Estates, she drove sustained sales and marketing success while leading a team of 40 professionals spanning trade marketing, customer marketing, marketing services and sales. Prior to that, she spent six years at Trinchero Family Estates, where she had roles in brand management and national account on-premise sales. Walsh holds an M.B.A. from the Walter Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley; and a B.A. in psychology, cum laude, from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
"I was really drawn to DAOU's momentum in the marketplace," Walsh said. "Georges and Daniel have incredible vision—they are disrupting the wine industry and setting the pace for innovation. I will employ my unique skill set in marketing, sales, commercial strategy and trade tactics to further expand DAOU's reach and impact."
Brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou set forth across California to find an unrivaled terroir for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, a quest that led them to a place of foretold greatness: DAOU Mountain in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles. Here, their vision is to make California "first growth" wine, fulfilling the district's promise as the world's next benchmark for Bordeaux varieties. DAOU is ultimately built upon unbreakable family bonds from brother to brother, generation to generation, Old World to New World. These bonds now extend to those who lend their hands to this land, and who partake in what it produces. More at DAOUvineyards.com.
