Posted on December 19, 2018

Napa, CA – Family owned-and-operated fine wine importer, marketer and sales company, Quintessential welcomes two executives to fill newly-created positions within the company.

To bolster strategic US sales efforts for Quintessential’s portfolio, and to more effectively interface with winery management on various sales promotion initiatives, the company has hired veteran wine and spirits sales and marketing expert Sophia Tsilimigras. In the role of Brand Director, Sophia will create, coordinate and communicate all trade promotional activities both to the company’s salesforce and to the family owned-and-operated wineries from around the world that Quintessential represents. She will work with Quintessential’s team of marketing, promotions and publicity professionals, sales management and others to develop integrated plans and programs that will help drive sales and brand awareness.

The Chicago, Illinois native has wealth of work experience that cuts across all parts of the industry, including major wine and spirits distributors, well-known CA wineries and some of the largest wine and spirits importers in the world. Sophia has specialized in building and marketing luxury brands from around the globe and creating unique experiences to engage consumers. She has been especially successful working with on-premise channels, creating award-winning programs for some of the country’s leading national accounts.

Amy Gonsalves joins the company as Human Resources Manager, a new role that speaks to Quintessential’s continuing internal growth, with employees situated in the Napa headquarters, New York office and major cities and states across the country. She comes to the company with experience in the field after working as Administrator and Human Resources Specialist for a well-regarded Silicon Valley law firm.

Born in Michigan but raised in the San Francisco Bay area, Amy graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a BA in English. She attended Santa Clara University School of Law and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. She practiced patent law for a few years prior to transitioning into business administration. This past June, Amy moved to Napa, where her husband grew up and is currently restaurant manager at the Silverado Resort and Spa. They have one young son.

Both Sophia and Amy work in Quintessential’s Napa headquarters, reporting directly to Dennis Kreps, who owns the company with his father, Stephen D. Kreps. “We’re at a point in our company’s development that requires the special expertise of professionals like Sophia and Amy, in positions that will not only benefit Quintessential’s expanding personnel in the field and at our various offices, but also greatly contribute to our efforts to promote and sell our growing fine wine portfolio as effectively as possible to the trade and, ultimately, to consumer around the country.”
