Wines of Substance Announces Key Sales Promotions
Seattle and Walla Walla, Wash. (Dec. 12, 2018) – Today, Wines of Substance founder Charles Smith announces that Ron Janowczyk has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales, Britt Dimmick as Vice President – West and Lisa Kaplan as Vice President – East. Dimmick and Kaplan will each report to Janowczyk in this new sales structure and will manage the domestic sales team.
In his new role, Janowczyk will continue to direct the exponential growth of the Wines of Substance portfolio, which includes K Vintners, SIXTO, CasaSmith, Substance and B. Leighton in addition to strategic relationships with key domestic wholesalers and international partners. He will also oversee the execution of the sales plan, the international sales team and further development of the sales organization.
“We have developed a very talented and experienced team of professionals over the last five years,” said Janowczyk. “I’m excited to continue my work with Charles to strategically execute his vision and also look forward to working more closely with our wholesaler partners and key members of the trade,” said Janowczyk.
Britt Dimmick has been with Wines of Substance for four years and now assumes the role of Vice President of Sales - West. She brings 21 years of wine industry experience and has worked in several key supplier roles both in the Northeast and the West. “Britt is one of the most talented and instinctive business people I’ve been around in thirty-five years,” said Janowczyk. “I’m excited and confident in her ability to manage this larger responsibility.”
Also reporting to Janowczyk will be Lisa Kaplan, returning to Wines of Substance as Vice President of Sales - East. She is a Boston native with 18 years of wine industry experience. Kaplan returns to the company after an 18-month international tour, including spending nine weeks volunteering in Houston after the devasting hurricane. Janowczyk adds, “You can’t teach smart and Lisa is really smart. She is both strategic and tactical and I can’t wait to see her embrace this new role.”
