Karen Peterson Named Viticulturist at Montinore Estate

Montinore Estate, the country's largest producer of certified estate wines made fromBiodynamic® grapes, has appointed Karen Peterson as the company’s newest Viticulturist. A graduate of Oregon State University, with a B.S. in horticulture, Peterson’s background and dedication to thoughtful viticulture is a perfect fit for Montinore Estate’s biodynamic farming practices.

Peterson began her career as a vineyard assistant at Domaine Drouhin Oregon before joining A to Z Wineworks, where she worked as a viticulturist. After three years, Peterson became the vineyard operations manager, where she was responsible for program development, implementation, budgeting and maintenance. She started her new role as Viticulturist earlier this year and is responsible for Montinore Estate’s 250-acres of estate vineyards.
