Haak Vineyards and Winery Hires Tiffany Farrell as Winemaker

Posted on April 04, 2017

Santa Fe, Texas-March 8, 2017-“I am so happy to be back in Texas, to be home!” she exclaimed. Inspired by passion, Tiffany has mastered many aspects of winemaking. She has acquired over 8 years of well-rounded production experience working in AVA’s of California including the Russian River Valley and Mendocino as well as the Snake River Valley in Idaho. “I’ve been on the open range and I am thrilled to bring this knowledge and experience back to my roots. It’s an honor to join the winemaking team at Haak Vineyards & Winery as winemaker and I look forward to working with our team to produce exceptional Texas wine in Galveston County.”

Tiffany earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where her interest in fermentation science was ignited. “I was so intrigued by the microbial creatures that, by merely having innate intention for survival, could provide so many benefits to the natural environment and to the health and happiness of humans” said Tiffany. As a burgeoning winemaker, Tiffany was motivated to further develop sustainable industry standards. She obtained a Master of Science in Hydrologic Sciences at Boise State University and is now primed with the analytical skills needed to face future challenges of the industry.

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with the team that makes up this family owned and operated winery,” said Tiffany. “For over 15 years, the Haaks have been fueled by innovation and strive to create wines of distinction. Their passion is an inspiration and together we will continue that legacy to produce outstanding Texas wines!”
