CalWine Premium Online Wine Store Opens Retail Location

August 08, 2013

After a five year hiatus from a brick and mortar location, CalWine, pioneer of premium online wine sales, has re-opened a standalone retail location at 1014 Clinton Street, in the “Northside” of Napa. Long regarded as the source for fine wines at value prices, it is now possible to shop the cellar in person without waiting for delivery. A special Grand Opening Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 10, with special offers and discounts available all day.

"Al" Jabarin founded CalWine in 1995 on the historic Silverado Trail in Napa as an online virtual store, with specific emphasis on the smaller production, hand crafted "cult" wines and rising-star winemakers. With the premium and super-premium inventory CalWine specializes in, the customer has the ability to browse and purchase these hard to acquire wines on the spot, and expand upon a one-of-a-kind wine buying experience.

While the CalWine online store continues to thrive, the retail cellar now displays over 1,000 bottles of the finest wines from the reputable winemakers from not only California, but around the world, and all at value pricing.

Having already opened 1313 Main, the winetasting bar and lounge, and soon to be home of Lulu's Kitchen around the corner on Main Street, owner Jabarin says, "the CalWine retail cellar completes the vision I've had in mind all along: 1313 Main is a destination to go out to meet friends and spend quality time, taste great wines paired with local cuisine, to participate in educational programs and be entertained. CalWine is the place to find value-priced, highly sought-after wines to take with you and enjoy in the comforts of your own home, at your own table. Both locations complement each other by design."

CalWine is located at 1014 Clinton Street and is open Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. For more information, visit or call 707-226-7671.
