Napa County's Six Chambers of Commerce Announce the Formation of Napa Valley Chamber Coalition
February 09, 2021
February 8, 2021, Yountville, CA – The six Napa County Chambers of Commerce, made up of American Canyon, Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga Chambers and the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, have come together to form the Napa Valley Chamber Coalition as the official “Voice of Business in Napa County.” Each individual Chamber will continue to promote the businesses of their constituencies, while the Coalition will advocate on behalf of the business community at the county level, engaging in public policy to advance the best interest of its members and the overall community.
“Each chamber enjoys a lot of success on its own, representing the business interests and enhancing the lives of our individual communities,” stated Whitney Diver McEvoy, President & CEO of the Yountville Chamber of Commerce, and the Coalition’s initial chairperson. “By banding together, the Coalition aims to amplify the voice of business by representing the over 3,000 businesses in Napa County that are spread over 50 different industry sectors.”
The Coalition’s first priority is to work with elected and appointed officials on the economic recovery for Napa County’s businesses and residents, to ensure the community is able to rebound as quickly as possible from county-wide issues like those brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The past year has really shone a light on the need to become much better partners with our community leaders by bringing them the issues and concerns of the business community,” Diver McEvoy continued. “We look forward to strengthening communication and collaboration through the Coalition so we can better manage the impact from these challenges, be it the pandemic, fires, earthquakes or whatever else we face as a community.”
Other initiatives identified by the Coalition include expanding economic development, workforce development, traffic, housing, and other issues that affect the overall quality of life of residents in Napa County and the economic success of businesses in Napa County.
