SLO Coast Wine Collective Thanks Medical Personnel Fighting COVID-19

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA—The San Luis Obispo (SLO) Coast Wine Collective recognizes healthcare workers who are on the front lines battling the COVID-19 pandemic.  As the shelter-in-place order continues for San Luis Obispo County and contraction rates continue to increase, wineries in the ultra-cool-coastal wine region banded together to find a way to thank those on the front lines who are fighting this virus.  Through free wine deliveries to local hospitals and discounts on wine purchases to medical personnel SLO Coast Wine members thank all our health care workers for fighting COVID-19 and for keeping us safe.

“This pandemic is awe inspiring and we are so grateful to all the medical personnel who are engaged in protecting and caring for us.” said Anne Steinhauer, executive director of the SLO Coast Wine Collective. “As a thank you for the endless hours and the pressure placed on each of your families, our wineries are offering discounts for wine purchases to each of you during this time.”

Discounts and offers vary between the member wineries, and there is the ability for curb-side pick-up or delivery for local medical personnel or the possibility of discount shipping for those outside of the area.  To view what is being offered please visit our website at

The SLO Coast Wine Collective encourages all of us to stay safe, to maintain social distancing, to clean everything and to stay healthy and to support our medical personnel who are on the front lines of this pandemic.

On the San Luis Obispo (SLO) Coast, the Pacific Ocean shapes our culture, our terrain and our wines. Here, where our vineyards reside just five miles from the water on average, the prevailing marine conditions are among the most pronounced of any wine region in California and beyond. Our ocean-cooled environment fosters unifying qualities that are native to the wines of SLO Coast. For details and wine tasting information, visit
