Vivere of Italian Village Restaurants presents Sassicaia Wine Dinner

 Chicago, Ill.—Italian Village Restaurants invites wine enthusiasts to join the restaurant’s 92-year-old legacy at a distinctive wine dinner in partnership with Tenuta San Guido, celebrating their flagship wine, Sassicaia. The evening will feature a specially curated, 4-course menu at Vivere, Italian Village’s contemporary fine dining outpost. Priscilla Incisa della Rocchetta, co-owner of Tenuta San Guido – located in Maremma on Italy’s Tyrrhenian coast, between Leghorn and Grosseto – joins as the guest of honor and will guide guests through each pour as well as the history of the region and winery itself.

Throughout the dinner, attendees will experience 8 different vintages of the world renowned Sassicaia spanning 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2015 and 2016. The reception pour will feature Tenuta San Guido, Guidalberto 2017.

Vivere’s culinary team has designed a unique menu to complement the evening’s exceptional selections, including:

Portobello Mushroom, Guanciale, White Polenta, Mascarpone, Tomini

Braised Lamb Shoulder Ragu, Saffron Tagliorini, Charred Tomatoes, Shallots, Parmesan-Reggiano

Rib-Eye Fiorentina, Purple Peruvian Potato Puree, Salsa Verde, Guidalberto Jus

Pecorino, Caprino, Fig Jam, Crostini

The Village is open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 12 am, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 1 am, and Sunday from 12 pm to 11 pm.

La Cantina is open for dinner, Tuesday through Thursday started at 5 pm, and Friday and Saturday starting at 4:30 pm.

Vivere is open for lunch, Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2 pm, and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5 pm.
