New partner for Covenant Winery
July 22, 2019
For Immediate Release
Covenant Winery, which produces wine in California and Israel, has brought in Geoff Rochwarger as a new partner. Rochwarger, 48, replaces Covenant co-founder Leslie Rudd, who died last year from cancer at age 76. Rochwarger, an avid wine collector, has worked in international commerce for more than two decades. He lives in Israel and, as such, will have a close connection to Covenant’s Israeli operations. Total annual production for both Covenant California and Covenant Israel is 10,000 cases.
Rudd was the owner of Rudd Winery in Napa Valley and a partner in Vintage Wine Estates, a collection of premium California and Oregon wine properties. In 2003, he founded Covenant—best known for its high-end kosher wines—with winemaker and former wine critic Jeff Morgan. In addition to Rochwarger, the partners include Morgan’s wife, Jodie.
