Keynote Speaker Chuck House to Open 6th Annual Packaging Conference
June 19, 2019
On August 8th, Wine Business Monthly will be hosting the 6th annual Wines & Vines Packaging Conference at the Lincoln Theatre in Yountville, Calif. Tickets are available on the event website. This year’s keynote address will be given by renowned brand and label designer, Chuck House.
House is the co-founder, along with his brother-in-law Jeffrey Caldewey, of Icon Design Group, an internationally acclaimed design and marketing firm specializing in wine packaging and brand development. With clients spanning five continents, House’s work has become well-known world-wide and include iconic brands such as Frog's Leap, Bonny Doon Vineyard, Tenuta di Ornellaia, Vina Cobos and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.
House has also developed noted hospitality brand identities for Meadowood Napa Valley and the Napa Valley reserve.
At last year’s conference, keynote speaker, Randall Grahm, owner and winemaker of Bonny Doon Vineyard, said this of House: “One thing that Chuck taught me is that a wine label is your opportunity to tell your customer what they can likely expect from what’s inside the bottle, set their expectations as far as style, quality, price, etc. You don’t want to create a situation of cognitive dissonance where the package promises something that the wine can’t deliver.”
