Constellation Brands Rings In "Corona De Mayo" at the NYSE

by Press Release
May 02, 2019

WHAT: Constellation Brands President and CEO Bill Newlands will ring the bell and strike the gavel that closes the day’s activities on the trading floor at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) for the annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. He will be joined by David Klein, chief financial officer, and Jim Sabia, chief marketing officer.

“Our iconic Mexican beer brands and authentic tequilas are the perfect way to celebrate this Cinco de Mayo,” said Newlands. “We’re excited to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange with the Corona brand family - the No. 1 brand family in the high-end. Last year, we launched Corona Premier nationally and it was the No.1 beer brand introduction in both volume and dollars, and Modelo Especial is the fastest growing, major beer in the U.S., accounting for 40 percent of total category growth. Pacifico is the up-and-comer, selling about 10 million cases last year. Complementing our Mexican beer brands is our award-winning, higher-end Casa Noble Tequila and Tequila Mi CAMPO, a new tequila in our portfolio that blends Mexican heritage and contemporary ideas to deliver a smooth taste and unique experience. With a winning portfolio of authentic brands that our consumers love, we are definitely ready to celebrate summer and Cinco!”
