by Press Release
March 12, 2019

March 12, 2019 (Paso Robles) – Members of the Rhone Rangers will make their Washington DC debut on March 26-27 to celebrate the 22 Rhone grape varieties that are produced by a growing number of maverick American winemakers. Under a new partnership with City Winery, the Rhone Rangers will conduct a technical seminar, trade tasting, walk-around consumer tasting, and a multi-course winemaker dinner.

“Spring is the perfect time to introduce these wines to consumers, which include many new releases. Our celebration at City Winery will allow consumers to taste everything from the better-known Syrah and Viognier, to the up-and-coming Mourvèdre, Grenache and Roussanne, as well as the obscure grapes like Counoise and Picpoul Blanc” said Kim Murphy-Rodrigues, Executive Director of the Rhone Rangers. Consumers will have the opportunity to taste over 60 wines from sixteen Rhone Rangers producers at the walk-around consumer tasting.
