The Desert Rock Family of Wines Releases A Single Serve Line of Wines with Innovative Packaging

Founder and Winemaker, Paul J. Hoffman, announced today that his company, Desert Rock Industries has just released a line of wines for the single serve market. “We have been looking into producing our premium wines as individual selections for years and finally found the perfect packaging match for us,” said Hoffman. “This 200ml recycled plastic bottle is complete with a screwcap and the most innovative piece, a plastic cup attached to the bottle!”

The company plans to market the wines across the US with Trellis Wine Group who specializes in the National Account Arena. Mark Crisler, Founder and CEO of Trellis believes “There is a huge opportunity with Entertainment Arenas and Venues, Resorts, Bars, Restaurants, Golf Courses, Airplanes, Cruise Ships and anywhere that carries premium wines in multiple locations for single serve options.” Wine waste is minimal, and the cup eliminates an additional cost factor for accounts. “I also see a retail component with our all in one packaging,” Hoffman explains. “Think about picking up a four pack for a day on the boat, poolside, on a beach, at a picnic, or camping. This would be the perfect wine partner for those occasions.” Individual accounts in the Arizona market have been testing the packages and have fallen in love with the wine and program. Jared Wuethrich of BLK Live in Scottsdale cites, “We switched to the Headbanger single serve selection at our Pool Bar and Concert Stage Section of our restaurant. Our customers love the wine while we are enjoying the value, cost savings, and safety features for our venue.”

The single serve offerings are the same award winning wines as those bottled in 750mls at the Desert Rock Winery in Scottsdale under the supervision of Hoffman. The first releases are under company’s Headbanger Brand with a White Blend and Red Blend that have been produced since 2007. Desert Rock’s other brands like 401K, No Shoes, Rasta Wines, and Combat (A joint venture with David Ellefson of Rock Band Megadeth fame) will all be bottled in the 200ml size. “I am extremely excited to bring our boutique wines to market in this package. Having the bottling in house allows us to offer a diverse selection of our highest quality wines that are priced competitive to large scale national brands,” said the industry veteran and music enthusiast.
