3 Badge Beverage Corporation Debuts Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Posted on October 18, 2016

Sonoma, Calif., (Oct 18, 2016) – 3 Badge Beverage Corporation has released a 2014 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from its Gehricke brand. Founded by August Sebastiani, Gehricke specializes in small-lot wines from the top appellations of Sonoma County. Gehricke is also a tribute to the dusty roads and forgotten vineyards of Sonoma that August explored in his youth.

“Growing up in Sonoma, I spent a lot of time exploring the local countryside with its wonderful old vineyards owned by family and friends,” noted Sebastiani, president of 3 Badge Beverage Corporation. “Our Gehricke wines focus on selecting fruit from the finest vineyards throughout Sonoma County. Knights Valley is renowned for fine Cabernet, and we secured grapes from an outstanding vineyard.”

The Gehricke Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from the west side of the Bavarian Lion vineyard – a cooler-climate, higher elevation site in Knights Valley. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Petit Verdot (6%), Petite Sirah (5%) and Malbec (4%) and was aged 18 months in French oak. Production of the Knights Valley Cabernet was 1,077 cases, and the wines come in a 6-pack lay down box.

Gehricke is part of the 3 Badge Beverage Corporation enology portfolio and has enjoyed strong growth since it was introduced in 2014. Through September, sales of Gehricke wines were up 29% over last year. Gehricke wines include Russian River Valley Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Los Carneros Pinot Noir and Sonoma Valley Zinfandel. All wines are available nationally in fine wine stores and restaurants.
