The index indicates that job postings by wineries in 2012 increased 16 percent from 2011, and were 34 percent higher than 2010.

The increase in the winery job index for 2012 was driven by increases in winemaking, sales and marketing, and hospitality jobs. The winemaking job index increased 25 percent from 2011, and is 40 percent above 2010.

The sales and marketing index increased 14 percent from 2011, and is 22 percent above 2010.

The hospitality index increased 13 percent from 2011, and was 30 percent above 2010.
