The CEO of the world's second-largest wine company by volume along with several other well-known wine leaders will be featured at the North Bay Business Journal's 11th annual Wine Industry Conference the morning of April 26 at Sonoma State University
"With a diversified fleet of specialty trailers and warehouse capacity to store over a million cases of wine, MDL is well-positioned to provide an integrated logistics solution for the wine industry," stated Seth Wilson, Managing Partner of Headhaul Capital. "In addition, the company's direct-to-consumer fulfillment and wine club services are a good fit with the increasing demand for eCommerce in the wine industry."

"Consumers are changing," said Zhou Hongjiang, the company's new chairman, who took over in January. "People born in the '50s and '60s may like Baijiu but younger consumers born in the '70s and '80s want to try new things," he was quoted as saying in a Bloomberg report
The two day conference is designed to reach a diverse group of Demeter certified Biodynamic producers, other vineyards and wineries, winemakers, distributors, restaurant buyers, sommeliers, media and more and to educate the wider wine world about the quality and appeal of these wines
"The great opportunity for natural wine now is to use its megaphone to challenge all wineries to re-examine their long-accepted notions. It may itself not become the mainstream, but maybe some of its principles, like lower intervention and consumer transparency, will"
