Lion Nathan USA Appoints Ryan McGrenera as National Sales Director

Lion Nathan is delighted to announce the appointment and promotion of Ryan McGrenera as National Sales Director of Lion Nathan USA. This signals an ongoing commitment to growing Lion Nathan's fine wine business in the United States.

McGrenera, a graduate of Baylor University, has 14 years of wine industry experience including sales and marketing roles at both suppliers and wholesalers. His wine career began with the Julius Schepp's Company in Dallas, TX (now RNDC), and in 1998 he transitioned to the supplier side as a Regional Sales Manager with Palm Bay Imports. Ryan eventually joined Foster's Wine Estates where he held sales, management and national account positions. In 2005, McGrenera was a founding partner of Cumulus Wines USA which was acquired by Lion Nathan in 2008. Since Lion Nathan's acquisition, he has held several leadership positions within the company; most recently, serving as Director of Sales (West) and Director of Marketing and Trade Development.

Lion Nathan owns the highly acclaimed Argyle winery in Willamette Valley, Oregon and imports its own range of prestigious wines including St Hallett from the Barossa Valley in Australia and Wither Hills from Marlborough in New Zealand. Additionally, Lion Nathan imports a select portfolio of premium wine brands including Argento, from Mendoza, Argentina and Inkberry from Central Ranges, Australia.

In the US market, Lion Nathan is pioneering new frontiers through the creation of Cellar Key, an interactive marketing platform that uses 2D barcodes and mobile phones to bring the wine to life in the palm of a consumer's hand. McGrenera was instrumental in developing and launching Cellar Key among other key marketing initiatives for Lion Nathan.
