Ladera Vineyards, esteemed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon producer, announces the hiring of Gordon Waggoner as the winery’s new direct to consumer and hospitality manager.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Waggoner’s first exposure to the world of wine occurred with a bottle of vintage Champagne given to him by his parents. Now an experienced wine professional, Waggoner has since spent two years training under sommeliers at the Lon’s at The Hermosa fine wine program in Paradise Valley, Arizona, followed by four years managing his own wine program and staff at the Park Hyatt and Intercontinental hotels in Los Angeles. Most recently Waggoner worked for top fine wine distributor Regal Wine Co. in the Los Angeles and Napa Valley markets. Waggoner has passed the introduction CMS exam and is currently preparing to take the CMS Certified exam this fall.

In his position as Ladera Vineyards’ hospitality manager, Waggoner is responsible for overseeing all tours & tastings at the historic Howell Mountain winery, wine club events and growing Ladera’s Premier Crew (wine club), as well as direct to consumer sales.
