Rick Tigner, president of Jackson Family Wines sales and distribution, has been promoted to president of Jackson Family Enterprises, it was announced today.
In this new role, Tigner will oversee Jackson Family Wines and its global sales organizations as well as its general and administrative functions. He will continue to report directly to Jess Jackson, CEO and chairman.
Tigner has long experience in the wine industry, including his nearly twenty years with Jackson Family Wines.
“Rick’s strong commitment to this company and his intricate knowledge of our family business will allow him to lead us all to continued success and meet the challenges of the future,” Jackson said. “We have great confidence that under Rick’s leadership the company will continue to flourish.”
Tigner has been involved in the beverage alcohol industry for 24 years; including tenure at Miller Brewing Company, Gallo and Louis M. Martini.
He joined Jackson Family Wines as the western division manager in 1991. He rapidly advanced through two additional divisions as division manager followed by national programming and pricing manager in 1995. In 1996 he was appointed vice president and general manager of Regal Wine Company, where he remained until 1998. He was then appointed senior vice president of sales and distribution for what was then called Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, Ltd. In June of 2001 he was promoted to executive vice president, sales and distribution, followed by another promotion to executive vice president, sales, overseeing worldwide sales.
