Domaine Select Wine Estates (DSWE), a Manhattan based wine and spirits import and distribution company, announced that the company’s growth in recent years has necessitated adding three new key personnel, including executive vice president of business development and operations – Joseph LoSardo – and two additional divisional vice presidents of sales – Gerry Keogh and Rick Caudle – for the company’s import division. Together, they join DSWE veteran Bradley Groper to head the DSWE national sales leadership team, implementing and designing sales strategies and tactics for their respective regions.
DSWE founder and CEO, Paolo Domeneghetti, explains how DSWE is expanding its national infrastructure: “We are committed to healthy, strategic growth while maintaining our standards and identity which have defined our company since the beginning. Our decision to expand the executive management team is part of a thoughtful process we have begun to propel DSWE into the next phase of our growth.”
Rick Caudle, who joined DSWE in Jan. 2013, brings over three decades’ experience to this position from all levels of the industry. Beginning as a clerk in retail sales in Athens, Georgia, he was quickly promoted to manager. In 1981, Caudle began working as a sales representative for McKesson Wine & Spirits and, in 1986, was offered the role of state manager with Schlieffen and Company. His success in this role led to his recruitment as Southeast manager/chain coordinator for Heublein Inc.
Caudle says he “jumped at the opportunity to join DSWE,” explaining, “I have always been passionate about quality producers as well as providing value to our customers. Domaine Select Wine Estates and the Classic & Vintage Artisanal Spirits Collection are standouts in the industry.”
Founded in 1999, Domaine Select Wine Estates (DSWE) is dedicated to offering wines and spirits of superior quality and character. DSWE’s diverse portfolio transmits its producers’ personality, respect for tradition, and commitment to excellence. Domaine Select Wine Estates was named 2010 Importer of the Year by Food & Wine magazine.
