ANDIS WINES appoints Jenae Plasse as Chief Operating Officer
ANDIS WINES is proud to announce the promotion of Jenae Plasse as the newest member of the executive team. As Chief Operating Officer, Jenae will be responsible for the day to day operations of events, purchasing, community relations, social media, marketing & advertising.
A native daughter of Amador County, Jenae grew up on the family cattle ranch in Jackson where she gained a love for agriculture. Upon graduating from California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo with a Marketing degree, Jenae pursued additional education in viticulture and oenology through various extension programs and internships. Prior to joining Andis Wines in 2012, Jenae worked for other wineries along the Central Coast and throughout Amador County, including Edna Valley Vineyard and Deaver Vineyards.
Andis Wines was conceived in 2008 as a collaboration by Andy Friedlander and Janis Akuna, prominent Hawaii entrepreneurs. Inspired by the enormous potential of the spectacular and highly diverse vineyards of the Sierra Foothills, they began crafting wines in 2008 with winemaker Mark McKenna. In 2009, they acquired the Andis Estate and the following year, built a modern boutique winery that takes advantage of Amador’s stunning views. Already recognized for 90+ ratings from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, Andis Wines now produces over 8500 cases, and has found placements in some of Northern California and Hawaii’s finest restaurants.
