BW Wine Group of Los Angeles has announced the appointment of Cameron Russell as the vice president of global sales and marketing. Russell will oversee international marketing and sales for BW Wine Group, developing and growing its product portfolio of boutique wine, spirits, and beer. He will also be responsible for establishing and expanding relationships with restaurateurs, retailers, and hotel groups in emerging overseas markets, including Southeast Asia, South America, and India.

Russell brings more than 19 years of resort and restaurant experience to his role, having managed and developed some of the country’s top wine and beverage programs as wine director and sommelier, including Morton’s, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Michael Mina’s Nobhill Tavern, Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak, The London Hotel West Hollywood, Gordon Ramsay, and the Terranea Resort. Under Russell’s leadership, all of these establishments have been awarded Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence or Best of Award of Excellence.
Russell holds several certifications, including Certified Sommelier Court of Master Sommeliers, Advanced Certificate with Merit Wines & Spirits Education Trust, and Beverage Alcohol Resource Advanced Certificate in Mixology. He holds a bachelors of science degree in hospitality management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
