New Beverage Industry Professional Seminars Focus on Northwest Needs
PORTLAND, OR—A new series of intensive and interactive training seminars designed to boost the sales and marketing effectiveness of Northwest beverage industry professionals is being launched this August by Ferment Marketing, with the sponsorship of The Northwest Wine Studies Center at Chemeketa Community College, in Salem, Oregon.
Concentrating on immediately useable content in a working session format, each seminar covers a subject vital to the success of craft wine, beer, spirits, cider, and sake professionals.
Seminar titles reflect the practical focus of the class content: Define and Strengthen Your Brand, Create Your Marketing Plan, Tasting Room Operations Management, Direct Sales Strategies & Tactics, Working with the Media, Export Strategies and Management Details, Events that Engage and Sell, Maximizing Club Sales, Understanding Oregon’s AVAs and Core Varietals.
”These seminars being delivered by Ferment Marketing through Chemeketa address the growing need for stronger marketing, direct to consumer sales, club and event management, and employee relations skills in our regional wine and beverage industries,” - said Michael Q. Adams, wine business instructor at Chemeketa’s Northwest Wine Studies Center.
“They also reflect Chemeketa’s mission of offering hands-on, practical information that will give attendees skills that can be applied immediately to their careers and businesses,” he said.
Each seminar is conducted by experienced Northwest sales and marketing experts with special knowledge of the regional beverage industry’s unique challenges and opportunities. Class size is limited to 25 participants to ensure personal attention.

Classes will be held in the Erath Lab at the Chemeketa Community College Eola Center in West Salem, a centrally located venue with easy access to Portland, Bend, Eugene and the Oregon Coast. Each seminar is $125, with discounts available to current Chemeketa students who will be required to show student ID at check in.
