New B.R. Cohn Winery Summer Music Series Highlights Bay Area Bands
Glen Ellen, CA (May 15, 2014) – B.R. Cohn Winery has brought such famed performers as The Doobie Brothers, Journey and Cheap Trick to Sonoma wine country, much to the delight of fans who attend the annual B.R. Cohn Charity Fall Music Festival. In June, B.R. Cohn is expanding its colorful history of live music with the introduction of the B.R. Cohn Summer Music Series, which will showcase some of the next great musical acts. The new Summer Music Series features monthly performances by a lively mix of Bay Area bands and gives guests the opportunity to enjoy fine wine and gourmet food while listening to vibrant live music in the ambient B.R. Cohn Olive Grove.

Cohn music scene and our long history of live music,” noted winery CEO Dan Cohn. “The bands we’ve selected represent a fantastic sampling of Bay Area music from number of different genres. The Summer Music Series creates an intimate vibe, setting itself apart from our Fall Music Festival while providing the perfect complement; this addition really rounds out the live entertainment program at B.R. Cohn. I’m looking forward to seeing all these bands.”
The B.R. Cohn Summer Music Series runs from June through October with monthly performances. All shows are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- June 14. Simple Creation. A unique sound that blends reggae with rock, hip-hop and dub.
- July 26. Dgin (pronounced ‘gin’). Multi-cultural style and melodic French, funk grooves.
-August 16. Crazy Famous. High-energy stage performance and ‘rock & soul sound.’
-September 6. The Creak. Acoustic bluegrass and folk quintet known for its infectious energy and crowd inspiring fun.
-October 18. Beso Negro. All-star lineup of internationally experienced musicians who bring drive and passion to gypsy jazz with a vibrant, danceable new sound.
Tickets are $40 for general admission ($30 for Wine Club members). Guests attending the Summer Music Series will have the ability to add on an event picnic basket comprised of a selection of fine foods from the B.R. Cohn Gourmet Shop to enjoy in the Olive Grove. B.R. Cohn’s award-winning wines will be available to purchase for enjoyment during the concerts.
